Ideas to improve the server - feel free to post!

^ This is why I said it's not a good idea to nerf items. ;) This happens. And RAVSO... Hylian shield was only temporarily bugged. It's powerful, but nothing crazy now. Larva just put the decimal point of the boost in the wrong place. It got fixed rather quickly.

ild say increasing monster hp by 50%? make weapon specials that much more important.... if you can hit and ease up off that evp on monsters a bit just a lil bit and double boss hp. oh and one more that

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE OUT QUEST REWARDS OR DROPS OR CASINO OR QUESTS! DOING ANY OF THESE WOULD BE REEEEEEAAAAAAALLLY STUPID!!!!!!!

I haven't played very long on Ultima. I like the speed of leveling and finding items, don't have time now days for long grinds, I think if it was vanilla I would have got bored already.

Main thing I dislike is the items that are beyond what vanilla had. I agree with adding in some/most of the unreleased, event only, etc items that vanilla didn't have. But there seems to be a lot of stuff that was balanced to be better than everything else, or really not balanced at all. Some of it was released on here as once off event items as a justification for the strength of the item but it still seems silly have invincible players and 10 second bosses etc. It would be unfair to remove or overly nerf that stuff on the players who own it though. What would be much more creative and interesting is if any new stuff that is added, it is balanced to be within the vanilla item set i.e. someone might use say a Double Cannon or BKB or some new custom item, but it would be a choice they make on preference, not because one is clearly better or because the custom item is a once in a lifetime event item with stats to match.

On class balance, I think it is fine and sure maybe rangers have an easy job of everything by nature, but situations of them just walking over content with little fuss are probably more related to the itemization rather than any class balance issues.

One thing I would really like to see is variable stat Armor/Shield drops from quests, barely anyone does non quest runs and it is making a portion of decent items unused/unhunted by players because it is less painful just to find a fixed stat item than hunt a max stat one.

I think it is in the works but the drop tables some attention. I'm not talking about fixing the issues on the website list, or the incorrect drop rates on certain popular items. More importantly I think is to review items that have very low drop rates but on another ID drop from a rare monster, making them quite easy to obtain. What is the point in having the very low drop rates? If it ever drops no one will care, no one will hunt it when they just get it for 1 PD each in trades or join a game and find some. I think these could be changed to other items, maybe add things like MKB, SJS, PW to other ID's, if the drop rate is similar to the original ID it's not like it will drastically increase the amount found, at the moment it feels like whenever I see some of those items they are just from donations or BPD etc, more people might try hunting if their ID can obtain more. Or even just some average 9 star items that drop often in their place. There are also a few items you just don't see at all because they got forgotten with low drop rates when other better or similar items were made more accessible, maybe bring some of the drop rates on them back into line with what else is out there now, at the very least people can find and use it until they get their top tier item.

I'm not sure on this one, but I did do some Ep4 on Ultimate, mostly craters. The exp numbers I was seeing were in line with the forest in Ep1, is this correct or am I mistaken? I think Ep4 should be a cut above the rest, if anything just to get more people interested in playing it. Nevermind :D

Overall I think my view is to add more variety by lessening the extent of overused custom/special/better than all the rest items, increasing availability of good underutilized vanilla items and anything in between I think is fine.

xp rates for 1x on ultimate, and then 3x rates here (lowest common teir monster or booma equivalent)

I guess theres about 381xp difference thats about 30%ish more xp per kill if thats even worth it to some but if you do desert you get tons of xp i like to do war of limits 3 by myself for good xp every now and then. And yes i think the xp just starts on forest and goes up a lil bit at a time except bosses they have a bigger difference imo. but 1k kill for ep4? sign me up! Do it on crack mode rates are 5x so instead of 3x rates so we have

guess a tad more balance? but then again those monsters are annoying as !@$#. oh what monsters only deal 20 damage? thats ok you can still fall on your !@#

Put Multi Mode quests into solo. There is virtually no downside to this.This server already has a booming population and besides, most of the rooms you would generally see in game are either locked or 1 player.By having quests easier to solo for one person , it can encourage things such as hunting and leveling. Instead of having people begging for assistance in runs , they can do it themselves in solo mode.

Another suggestion is give Last Swan a spirit special to counter Psycho Raven's ATP. Granted it may not be as strong but its a step forward for females.

There is no reason to assume that there won't be future female items. Psycho raven is just over 6 months old and we are constantly releasing new items. That question/request comes up a lot. I also have female characters and understand why people want alternate guns for hunewearl and hucaseal.

Be patient. We're not done yet.

I have some Idea's that I'd like to happen:

  1. A Solo Challenge Mode [unsure how you would make that happen]
  2. 'Crack Mode' - Idea is great but it feels like Ultimate mode with speedy monsters that are buffed. I'd like to see what Sega did with the transition between Very Hard mode to Ultimate [Remodelled the enviroments, monsters]. Perhaps can rename it: 'Nightmare Mode'. Also with that mode Drop rates would be increased and a new drop table specifically for that mode.
  3. Lastly the Priestage system sounds very good. I'm not sure what the Incentive would be for doing that - But sounds good.

Setting aside the request for a buffed Last Swan , is there any possible way the solo quests can happen in any form or shape?

tbh i have no idea tweek iv'e seen some previous posts from other people about that but nothing has taken place much about solo quests having some changes.

i think that the dressing room must have more options or maybe all the options except change of class

dressing room doesnt allow class change but it does allow name change

eliminate name change and it be a great idea

I disagree with this. If it is quick to implement then sure. But there are probably better things to implement to benefit all. All of the quests can be solo'd at some point except a few which really are meant to be done as a team. People just beg for runs because they are lazy. You can do WOF alone once you reach a new difficulty and get about 10 levels from it per run in crack or 5-7 in normal. People struggle when they just hit Ultimate because they think they need to get straight into Ult TTF, but you can go to crack mode and get 5x exp against VH monsters which aren't even buffed. Most classes can solo Ult TTF and RT from about 150 onwards in your average gear if they really want to. I think things like PTS and MA4DMD being easy to solo will just mean people do it alone and not try and find people to play with, there are other ways to get a group other than beg in the lobby.
