Some of the stuff they’ve got is admittedly really cool. There was a time when I thought they were pretty cool as a whole. Now I feel like they’ve gone too far off the path of what PSO feels like to me.
 

Additionally they’re thieves and generally I don’t trust their staff seeing as Broomop (convicted cyber criminal) and Mylandra (partially responsible for a summer of DDoSing and gore porn spamming on Ultima) are listed as developers. 
 

They’ve pretty much changed Destiny to be something not PSO and I’m no longer a fan of the gameplay.

I think Larva and Saith didn't want it specifically because it would have been overpowered.

Now that we have Serene Swan, it would not hurt to have an unlocked L&K38 with 1 ATP, 1 ATA (and eventually forbidden to Hucasts) as well.

New weapons that have unique behavior or abilities in their kind (rather than just some common type weapons with ridiculous ATP) that are not game balance breaking are what I am looking for.

This would actually be nerfing it??? I know the weapon doesn't see much use here now cause Serene Swan, but before Serene Swan a hit LK was / is essentially a ranged DF. It had uses in nearly every quest and was a staple of a TA inventory. Depending on your Shifta level it's capable of 1H tons of different enemies across all 3 episodes from quite a solid range.

 

Is ruining what once was and technically what it still is for a shitty rafoie minigun really worth it? I think not. If people were to want a LK that can shoot Falz it should be a new weapon that doesn't completely ruin the actual use of LK.

 

You can see how LK COULD be used in team play. Even though Ultima does now have better options if it were to ever be utilized in this method it'd be 100000000000000000000000000000000x better than a Rafoie gun. There's nothing actually stopping it from being used as displayed in the video either.

Do you have a timestamp for the video? Not interested in watching ten minutes of it.

 

Whilst it may come up in TA, I've not seen anyone use it in normal gameplay in all the time I've been playing PSO. When locked, it's outclassed by almost any other long range weapon. 

 

I'd also point out my idea was using a combo item on an L&K, meaning the original would still be in the game to use however you wanted. It honestly annoys me that most of the arguments people make were addressed in the numerous posts I've made about the item. People just look at it as "hurr durr unlock the L&K because it'd be awesome LOLOL".

Even though we use LK pretty consistently used throughout the run sure I will timestamp it during this run and perhaps a couple others. I don't want to link the probably 50+ runs of LK use that exist so here's a few. In longer runs on Vanilla and pre-Serene Swan it is common to carry a full set of LKs.

 

If you start here you'll see a few spawns of LK use in the next minute or so.

 

 

If you start here you'll see some LK and throughout the whole run.

It's a lot more common on Ephinea because they don't have Serene Swan, but before Serene Swan only a few of us from Chosen Few were using it on Ultima as you see in these videos. In terms of TA it's sort of a new thing (last 4ish years or so) because no one thought to use it because it requires really high hit to be any decent. That's obviously not an issue on Ultima. Even when locked it's often times the best ranged weapon available (before Swan).

Ah well then that's cool if people really want to hunt a combiner for a 1 ATP 1 ATA Rafoie gun I don't see the harm really (feels like a wasted opportunity imo, but whatever). It's been some time since I've read any posts relating to the exact specifics of your idea, so sorry if you're having to repeat yourself.

 

As I've been saying I am not for or against the idea as at this point. Serene Swan is probably just better. All the same to me.

I think there was a misunderstanding.

Harvest's idea was not about modifying the existing L&K38 Combat, it was a new weapon eventually made from a combiner with the former.

So you can choose to have the unlocked version with nerfed ATP or keep the original form with increased ATP but combo locked.

(Just like how combining Master Raven for Dual Bird actually decreases its ATP in favor of combo unlocking)

Increase the chance of getting hit on a weapon for all Episodes to 7% for regular monsters, and 15% from bosses (if the original code is not a giant spaghetti mess)

 

If it's true that Ep 2 is 1-2%, that especially needs the help

I dislike the idea of encouraging boss farming over regular ways (SJS Olga instead of Gi Gue etc).

The idea was to do the math and think about what that means to the player; Excalibur only drops from Olga and is 1/102, and suppose it's not HH and you have a 1% chance of getting hit(1/100) that means you have 1/102 * 1/100 chance(1/10200)  and about 10000 Olga runs before you would find the weapon with hit; What that does is make the only viable option for hit either hit event or pay for hit with redeem, which is not really what the player wants because finding the item is what is most satisfying.  

If you dislike encouraging boss farming then why give the drop to a boss in the first place;

also, some items are boss only like above

 

What about the time cost of hunting down Olga vs many Gi Gues?

The Lame D'Argent that can be unsealed to Excalibur is an EP4 drop where the chance to drop with Hit% is substantially higher. Hunting Excalibur directly saves you from the unsealing process but the realistic expectation is to hope there's a good sum of nonhit %s on it since you can't bank on finding a hit drop in EP2 for a drop as rare as that.

 

While we're on the subject of the Olga Flow drops, is there a chance the Glide Divine rate on Pinkal can perhaps be increased 4x-5x what it is currently? The regular drop source, Vhard Sand Rappies, can be mindnumbingly inconsistent and is largely a solo farming task. The added drop source on ultimate Olga Flow is appreciated but far too low to ever consider going into with a Pinkal room as opposed to another ID's drop, imo.
