Invalid login credentials in game, but Character Viewer works

Hi, I recently created a new "game" account, but unfortunately I’m unable to log in when I try to connect to the game. The Character Viewer works correctly with my account, so it seems that the account itself has been created properly. I have already:

 

• Completed the account validation

• Changed/reset my password

• Made sure that the IME option is unchecked

 

Despite this, I still cannot log in to the game. Could you please help me figure out what might be causing the issue ?

You may need a GM to dig into this but some suggestions for now:

 

Are you sure you created an in-game account in addition to your forum account? It sounds like yes if the viewer is working

Are you 110% positive you're typing the correct password and typing it correctly in the client?

As an experiment, try changing the password to something very short with no capital letters or special characters

 

I poked around old topics about credential issues and essentially all of them were one of the above.

Yes and yes and i just change my password for 3 characters, same results.

 

Hope a GM will answer.

Probably not the case, but a few years ago my keyboard changed language settings when I started PSO, maybe want to check for that

I've been trying to connect for the last couple hours, cannot connect whatsoever. I've tried using the forum character viewer and can confirm I'm not typing my password incorrectly. My ISP is Bell Canada if that is of any help!

Edit: Ok server is back.

 

So it seems I run into the same issue.

 

@Soly something is wrong with game registrations.

Even after email validation, the new account is not accessible in game (at least, with the given credentials)

I think i know whats the problem let me check the forum regsitration. since we moved the server to another server i think its a missmatch of settings.

There was an issue in our end, you will have to re-register the account, becuase the registration page was pointing to the old database, and so the character view.
once you create the account everything should work.

im in the same situation, can view in character viewer but cannot log in with what i thought was my credentials.
