I'm having some strange issues with item names and was told from another player this is a common bug referred as the "Item Name Bug" The stated solution he gave was to update at the launcher. However my updater stops at the items folder saying it cannot read a certain file. Here is the screen shots of the update error, data file and an example of the item errors. Lelb Posted October 2, 2018 Share Posted October 2, 2018 Update is the fix. I wouldn't move inventory until you get the update. ...or reinstall. Also, my launcher is in c:\ultima psobb -- that could be an issue. Try running as admin but i'd use the default path first. Quote Link to comment
Fyrewolf5 Posted October 2, 2018 Share Posted October 2, 2018 Run the Launcher.exe as an admin (right click, run as administrator). If that doesn't work, you can also download the latest patch on the downloads page too. This bug happens because we add new items to the game periodically. Thus if you do not update, the names will all be shifted down the list according to what items we added and where they go. Quote Link to comment
