Try https://pcpartpicker.com
You will also need a case, power supply, and hard drive. Western Digital Blue is recommended for the built in SSD. https://goo.gl/PNs6qA
Also, this power supply seems nice and reliable for the value. https://goo.gl/1wgQMC
If I were to recommend any PC case, it'd be a Core P3 just cause it's wall mountable, and keeps the PC out of the way. https://goo.gl/8mTXYw
Luckily that CPU comes with a decent CPU cooler. Have fun. :)

WD Blues don't have built in SSDs.

Additionally, while the drive Emewn linked is a 7200 RPM drive, not all of them are. You don't want to be stuck with a 5400 RPM drive, so be sure you check what speed the drive you buy spins at. I personally won't put anything less than a WD Black or Red series drive in a machine that will get used for anything more intensive than a facebook/email machine, and even those will get a small SSD for the boot drive.

Atleast get a SSD for the boot drive, they aren’t expensive.

Yeah for sure you shouldn't build a computer with mechanical drives anymore. A ssd literally cuts load times in half or more. I use a ssd for boot and another for games and a regular HD for mass storage like pics and files etc.

I 2nd the SSD drive for primary boot drive, I will never use a platter drive for a OS drive ever again after I built my current machine 3 years ago!

10 second maximum boot time from the power button to desktop!

I would seriously consider a better MOBO, get the best you can afford.

Never get cheapy on the MOBO, go with the X470 chipset too if you can swing it, cheap boards tend to not have long lifespans.

Ask me how I know!  (and how many I've replaced over the years... *facepalm*)

I think this is the one I've got saved on my wishlist for an overhaul with a Ryzen 2600X next year...

Case...   https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353056

(it's cheap but it allows me to spend more on the other components..i am on a budget )

GPU...https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127907&cm_re=GeForce_GT_730-_-14-127-907-_-Product

(it has HDMI output letting us hook it to a  55" Toshiba )

Sound...JBL platinum series w sub woofer

700 watt power supply

and a logitech wireless gaming combo

btw i've a 500 gig WD sdd with a 4T WD external and a 1 T WD passport

Hey fellow Vash fan ;)

I ordered the same mobo when it was on sale for $19 on Newegg but my order was "accidently" sent to some place in Texas and when i told them i didn't want a refund just send me another one i was then told that was a miss price and went ahead and refunded my money but i still haven't got a refund for the extended warranty

so as for ASRock..

Actually, I would think that would be for Newegg, not AsRock, they don't dictate the prices or handle warranty/claim exchanges, generally.

That sucks though, find a hellavu deal and then they turn around and won't honor it.

Above all I can't emphasize this enough, you want a system that will last?  Don't skimp on the motherboard, do your homework, research and get the best you can afford.

I also use pcpartpicker since it will also do a compatibility check on each of the pieces. As O9B066 said since this is a gaming PC, Intel will absolutely give you the best bang for your buck as far as CPU's go. I've built many high/low-end rigs for family and friends and that's what I use for all of them.

But if you change your CPU then the other two will probably have to be changed as well in order to accommodate Intel. For the mobo I would just go with the cheapest compatible option. 8GB of RAM is still plenty for gaming, I typically use Corsair.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the build!

PS: RAM can only run at a max speed of 2400Mhz unless the rest of your rig is capable of handling overclocked memory. Something to keep in mind. [/edit]

Hybrid drives do.  They use HDD + SDD in one of two configurations that I know of.  1) the SSD is used as a cache for the HDD and appears as a single drive 2) the drives appear as two separate drives.  Yeah, the mark wasn't Blue.  They're designated HHD, I think.

Extra cooling will add about 30% performance on the top end of a CPU.  (this is possible b/c cooling is spec'd for typical loads w/ burst "turbo" aka "throttling" if you prefer)  I like the all-in-one closed loop water coolers (ex. Corsair Hydro series) -- the smallest radiator and setting the fan for silent/throttle RPMs is more than enough and fits on a 120mm fan mount.

Sorry, but I can't agree with this these days, maybe about a year or two ago, perhaps...  The release of AMD's latest Ryzen has changed all of this, along with all of Intel's current misfortune to boot.

Between the Specter and Meltdown security flaws/exploits that have reared their ugly head, the associated "fixes" for them that seriously affect the CPU's performance and the closing performance delta of AMD's latest Ryzen processors, aka "Zen+" or next year, "Zen2", Intel is about to lose their performance crown. (technically they've already lost it, the Ryzen based Threadripper is even besting Intel's latest massive multi-core chips)

Another issue that is going to become a real problem very soon is Intel's serious issues concerning CPU production due to their VERY serious problems with their latest 10nm chip fabrication...  They are going to be stuck on 14nm node well into next year and it's so bad they are even having to rely on TSMC for their latest 14nm production!   Even if you want a chip, their supply is going to tighten in the coming months, this also most likely means increased prices.

In short, I'd rather roll the dice on what AMD offers these days, which is usually always more bang for the buck to comparable Intel offerings.

Actually Newegg was gonna to honor it but ASSRock said they "ASSrock' had mispriced it to Newegg and therefore they would not honor the price

also Newegg had all the info correct that was sent to ASSrock and they shipped it to Texas

what i don't get is that it seems that everybody that bought the mobo at that price had their order shipped to the wrong address

sounds like BULLSH*T to me     :onion-head28:

BUT

i want to thank everyone who replied to this post and have been so much help in preventing me from a total  "blonde moment" meltdown
