Item bug or just outdated

It says yellowboze is supposed to find a madam's umbrella in very hard killing mericol but all I find from them is attribute plate, the same item for killing mericus. Also note, i killed it in phantasmal world 1. Is the drop chart outdated, mericol can drop multiple rares, or is it a bug?

Another bug/mistake :

Bluefull is supposed to find Trigrinder on Episode II Normal Hildeblue at a 87% rate.

I have never found any in 50 kills.

Moreover I don't think Oran finds Heavenly/power on VHard Dorphon at a 31% rate.

Then I am definitively not sure but I feel like PW drop on Purplenum Mil Lily is bugged in Today's rate.

Maybe I just got unlucky but I killed like 2000 Mil lilies (including 1300 during HH) in this Event and all I have found so far was 3 Photon Drops.

The drop rate is 1/344 during HH so I believe those PD should have been PW instead xd

Can someone confirm that he found a PW in the same conditions to make me know I'm wrong ?

Edit : nvm, just found one

When it comes to Today's Rate, it's definitely not bugged. I found my Pwand in there, but it did take a lot longer than I expected, since I usually only hunted during HH and rare monsters (about 20 in game hours).

This is a known error on the drop charts. Has been this way for ages. In this case, it is the drop table that is incorrect, not the items you are finding from Hildeblue. I believe they don't intend to make trigrinders drop that easily, as it would make grinders ridiculously easy to farm and find. You can get on the GM's case to change the droptable to make it say 'Bluefull Episode II Normal Hildeblues' drop nothing. But that's the only change I suspect they would be willing to make.

Joseph > ok thanks.

Tera > yes that is what I thought ... but Grinders go for 12:1 right ? Addslots for 4:1, then a Trigrinder and an Addslot have the same value so that would sound right if both were as easy to farm, wouldn't it ?

Well as said, the drops might not be correct atm since we are using a different set of drops for the event.

I plan to fix all the drops for different events to not change like this, if larva wants, so we only see changes in the drops for events, and not those that have nothing to do with it.

But is a lot of stuff to change so yeah, it might take quite some time.

I have a little insight to the triginder drop not working, the item code is off by 1. all grinders are listed higher than what they really are in bb_items.txt ^.^ maybe that will help. :onion109:

as for you not finding your item, its just bad luck. everytime a mob dies its a "roulette" if it drops an item or not, then if it does drop one, its another to see if its going to be the rare assigned to it, and if not, then it does yet another to determine which "lootable" item will drop. This is why I don't like the drop rates as fractoins. :onion-head74:

Nothing is off by any number, if it were off by some number then it will not be the item. (Not even in the charts)

The issue with those drops is that chuk based his rate calculator from a program lee made, it has wrong calculations for rates 0 to 20+ (they go up to 255)

Lee's program says at 0 the rate will be 87.5% but that is wrong, at 0 the rate will be 0%.

Now with that said, look at this, it's drop is defined as 0, that's the reason chuk's says is 87.5% but is really 0%.

Edit:

This is the code chuk uses, which shows fairly high rates for low numbers, all of those low numbers, until you see a lot of 0s are wrong calculations of lee's program :P

The drop file i'm reading there in the picture is the "default" ... i'll ask larva I guess to see which rate he wants.

The rate is supposed to be 7/8 (87.5%), just like every other normal hildeblue (or any other rare mob for that matter) drop in the entire game has, and just like vanilla pso has. The problem was just lee's tool making the drop appear to be correct rate but actually be broken, the rate displayed on the table is the correct rate. Cyane had fixed a whole lot of those false 0 rates before, including this one, idk why it's suddenly broken again.

My bad i assumed that the values were put in manually. Also i thought Chuck knew better than to use the low values, so that didn't cross my mind. Thanks for the insight soly.

Yeah, trigrinder is like 030A02 ... if it were off by one 030A03, it would be a ???? item... which would be easily fixed.

Yes, 7/8 is 255... but those weird low numbers there.. idk why.

I'll just make a tiny app to parse the drops and tell me when a rate is lower than some number and/or specifically 0, or something that gives less than 0.000001 or anything like that you get the idea.
