This is a guide with a compilation of plans used for reaching Max Stats on your characters.

The goal is to achieve max stats in certain attributes. These stats are divided into:

  • ATP (Attack Points)
  • DFP (Defense Points)
  • MST (Mind Strength)
  • ATA (Attack Accuracy)
  • EVP (Evade Points)
  • LCK (Luck/Critical Damage)

In Ultima server every class have a Stats Boost compared to vanilla PSO, that means old max stats plans made for vanilla PSO doesn't apply to the server, since you won't be able to max anything using old plans.

Ultima Boost: +100 ATP, +100 DFP, +100 MST, +10 ATA and +30 EVP boost to every class.

That being said, there's a possibility you won't be able to max everything from certain classes (and it's not really needed to max all stats). What people try to do to enjoy the most of their characters is to always max ATP, ATA, LUCK (to have maximum accuraccy and raw melee attack power) as priority and when necessary/possible, MST and DEF (MST for forces or for equipping certain MST based weapons).

You will want to focus on maxing ATP ATA, LCK and sometimes MST. Generally DEF and EVP aren't important stats, so these stats can be ignored in most cases.  Although EVP is interesting for increasing the Power of Estlla PB (it is recommended to have 120% Synchro for maximum damage).

There are some classes that you will only be able to max by using special custom mags (obtainable with Donation or Mini-Events or using a Console/Ashura Mag Cell). Otherwise, you will need a PPP Mag (a 0 DEF mag that is a reward from Power Plant Plight quest) to have 5 extra points on mags.

:excl: If you use a Console/Ashura Mag Cell/Ultima's Engine! Mag Cell on a PPP mag and your mag doesn't have PBs, you won't be able to add PBs anymore to the said mag.

  • Kit of Mark 3 (see this website to understand how console mag works)
  • Ashura Mag Cell is obtainable on Easter Eggs and Christmas Presents
  • Ultima's Engine! is obtainable from Shambertim on Anniversary Event

:excl: You can find details of all armor/units/mags/shields used for these plans here: https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/wiki/items/

:excl: You can build your own plan using this calculator: https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/tool-box/calculators/max-stats/ or http://www.sandrenyl.com/pso/maxstatcalc.html

There are multiples builds for each character, depending on your preference. Generally it is more efficient to choose for plans that requires less Units, so you can use other interesting units that may improve your gameplay (Centurion/Battle, V801, V502, Smartlink, PB/Increase, Centurion/Resist etc.)

The most efficient plans is always the first ones for each character list.

Shield: Red Ring/Costumes, Safety Heart
Materials:
- 81 Power if 5 DEF mag; 76 Power if 0 DEF mag
- 30 Luck
- 61 Evasion
Maxes ATP,ATA,EVP,LCK
Recommended because RAmarl is the highest EVP character and EVP makes Estlla PB stronger
78 free materials if using 5 DEF mag
83 free materials if using 0 DEF mag
If you are using a standard 5/165/30/0 mag, add 5 more Power Materials
Can use more 79 Mind Materials to have atleast 900 MST to use Clio (not counting RR/Costumes 20 MST).
It is interesting to use Frank the Bunny Costume and Clio together to boost Zalure.
If you don't own a PPP Mag but still want to use Clio without RR/Costumes equipped, you will have to replace 1 Evade Material with 1 Mind Material to have exactly 900 MST. (-1 EVP from max)
0/170/30/0 mag can also be used on RAcast ADEPT plan.
5/166/29/0 mag and 0/171/29/0 mags also works for that plan (but can't share with RAcast ADEPT plan mags)

Centurion/Mind Plan

Mag (PPP): 0/0/69/131

Maxes ATP,ATA if using other shields
Maxes ATP,ATA,MST if using Hylian Shield
Maxes ATP,ATA,MST,LCK if using Red Ring/Costumes, Agent K Costume or Safety Heart

Since Alis's Resolve is now a thing, I am debating about adding a new max stat plan for RAmarl, which is oriented for support. I would like opinions about the pros and cons of this plan, if people like it and think it is a good plan, I'll add it to the main post.

Here it is:

Alis' (Support Oriented) Plan

Mag (PPP): 0/171/29/0
Units: ADEPT, Centurion/Mind
Shield: Alis' Resolve, Red Ring/Costumes
Materials:
- 75 Power
- 125 Mind
- 10 Evasion
- 40 Luck
Maxes ATP,ATA,MST,LCK if using Alis' Resolve (for full support)
Maxes ATP,ATA,LCK if using Red Ring (for ATP, ATA stats over max = optimal melee combo), can replace Cent/Mind and V801 with other useful units.
There is enough MST to equip Clio even when using Red Ring.
Use Frank the Bunny Costume and Clio together to boost Zalure.
For melee, use Red Ring, for support and full MST, you only have to switch RR to Alis' Resolve.

https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/tool-box/calculators/max-stats/&c=11&l=200&m10=75&m11=125&m12=0&m13=10&m14=40&m15=125&m16=125&m20=0&m21=171&m22=29&m23=0&i0=-1&i1=173&i2=78&i3=-1&i4=100&i5=75

I'm not sure if other classes would benefit from Alis's Resolve, perhaps HUnewearl? Let me know what you all think about this specific plan.

So I’m trying to get my plans set and I’ve reached a point of confusion. Aiming towards using the HUnewearl C/arms plan, there are listings suggesting having a mag with 53 dex and with 54 dex. These result in 209.4 (0.4 below true max), and 209.8 accuracy respectively. Both are “acceptable” according to the max stats calculator.

The person suggesting 54 dex indicates that this was to allow dual use with RAcaseal. Is that the only reason? Or does the game actually recognize that extra 0.4 accuracy?

I have my mag sitting at level 199 and don’t want to mess it up at the last moment.

The game recognizes the .4 ata when doing calculations, but not when displaying numbers.  Thus you'll still end up with the gold number if you don't have it.

So if I want my actual in game accuracy to be as high as possible, then I go for 54 dex/209.8 ata. Cool.

If you want to optimize the levels of your mag you will want 53 dex. One level on your mag does not matter, but for efficiency you will max dex with 53. The .4 and .8 in game are exactly the same. The dex stat caps, so you can't get additional bonus for going over.

So wait, does the game use whole numbers for ATA or the full value? That’s what I’m trying to find out. XD

The game only counts the whole number. Once your stat is gold, every point or partial point does not count for anything.

This is wrong.  The game prematurely displays the number as gold since it matches the max stat.  i.e. The games stores your ata as an integer 2094.  When it goes to display the number it truncates the last value and sees 209.  Since 209 matches the 209 of a truncated 2098, it displays as gold despite not being 'max'.  It shouldn't really matter in the scheme of things, but having a gold number in your menu is not a guarantee that your stat is maxed (kinda like how RR will make a number gold despite it not being maxed since RR allows going over the base limit)

You can read a bit about it in this thread, specifically this post.

So every max stat plan is wrong? Every one of these plans tries to hit the desired ata and go over it as little as possible. Are you saying that your chance to hit an enemy is higher with 209.8 than 209.4 for huney? You also said rr takes you over max. So are you saying you can have over 100 luck and it would make crit percentage higher?

That's not what I said.

Yes

You know exactly what I meant by that comment.  RR can raise ata above the 'max'.

I know you didn't say they were wrong, I was thinking out loud. It's just that everyone using these plans thinks they have the highest ata possible and it turns out these plans do not give the highest ata. So my question now is, what is the highest ata for a given character? For huney's 209 "max" is the highest ata technically 209.9? Or can you go as high as you want knowing that it will only display 209? Thanks @Lemon

It should be that you can go to 209.8 plus any bonuses from Armour and Shield.  I'll do some testing in the asm when I get some time if you'd like.  (Or you can, ATA is stored at [0CA9C4F4]+02D4 in little endian as a uint16_t.)

After brainstorming and running some numbers...

FOnewearl Centurion/Ability plan:

Melee mag: 5/76/119/0

Support mag: 5/0/16/179 (or other 179 mind mags. This specific mag can be made using 13 monofluid, 65 antiparalysis, 14 trifluid, 40 antiparalysis, and 5 trifluid in that order to level 35)

Units: Centurion/Ability

Shields: Red ring/costumes, etc.

Materials:

- 9 attack

- 121 mind

- 20 luck

Maxes ATP/ATA/LCK or MST/LCK using 1 unit and only swapping mags. Mags can both be normal (non-PPP/custom mags).

(I couldn’t figure out the pretty formatting on mobile - sorry)

I would like to announce that several changes were made to the Max Stats Guide:

HUmar (all plans), RAmar (No Units)
- now plans achieves true max ATA, instead of relyng on yellow status numbers (which rounds low the current ATA and compared to the rounded max ATA), leading to a difference of up to 0.5 ATA below from true max;

RAcaseal (single) Centurion Ability Plan
- it was completely wrong, full of mistakes, now it is calculated propperly;

Force Plans
- Added more iterations allowing players to choose a max stats plan suited for their preffered playstyle;

General:
- Replaced non-PPP plans for more efficient plans. Old non-PPP plans are now present as calculator links;

- Added calculator links for every plan, including iterations and the non listed non-PPP plans;

- Removed orgodemir's Max Stat Calculator link (http://www.sandrenyl.com/pso/maxstatcalc.html) since it is no longer available and misses recent added units/armors/mags;

- Updated ways to get Ultima's Engine! mag cell;

- Improved grammar;

I may add iterations for Alis' Resolve and Neutron Skin if I come up with good ideas and if people believe they worth having a specific place on our guide.

Hope you guys enjoy the changes! Now it feels even more complete than before. :)

I would like to thank everyone involved in the making of this guide :onion88:
