  1. This is a lesser known client bug that is rather annoying sometimes during cmode...just one of the oddball issues that sometimes crops up for no reason.
  2. Done any video card driver updates lately? If not you could try that.
  3. Its actually a bug with the server in that the sale prices of units with a +/++/-/-- isn't being calculated correctly server-side. The server will think you have more/less meseta than you have in your inventory when you sell any units with a +/++/-/-- (relogging seems to fix it for the time being). Should be fixed in the next update.
  4. Cmode follows the exact same backup procedure as battle mode, ie there is comparably no difference between how the two modes are handled in terms of character backup and restoration. If this bug hasn't been reported as an issue with battle mode before then I would say that weapons losing hit is a bug with the server in general and not with cmode. I know I've seen the latter around before.
  5. Err, it should ignore the material limit for cmode...on another note I assume by: you mean you used them outside of cmode on your regular character first?
  6. There is now an updated version of the login server up. Hopefully we won't see any more frequent crashing.
  7. Yes, it's only challenge mode that I've ever heard of this bug happening in
  8. You know, I'm not entirely sure what causes it, or how exactly it manifests itself; it's something that exists in the client and I'm not sure whether it was on the official servers or not. I know Schtserv has the issue as well. Personally it's never happened to me on there but I've heard of it happening, and it's usually very infrequent. It's possible that it's only triggered by warping between areas but I'm not too sure.
  9. Well, as for the first it sounds very very similar to what I described, even though you didn't take a picture; it's possible that there are other causes for the same bug and you got unlucky. For the second, I'm going to guess that you found ~6 TP mats? While not very likely it is still possible, since tool rates are boosted from boxes...if it were to happen again on another run through I would say it's an issue, but you should generally see a lot of mat drops in cmode anyways. Perhaps you just got lucky in this case and they were mainly TP mats.
  10. Did he perhaps take a screenshot before warping? Sometimes when you take a screenshot while in a cmode stage it will warp you back to Pioneer 2 and you won't be able to do anything. It's actually a bug with the client and not the server...
  11. Did you replace the quest files with the ones that I sent you? Sounds like it's not detecting what stage it is at all which would account for exp and inventory issues. Doesn't explain drops though.
  12. Stage, characters, etc please. Also how many monsters did you kill? The DAR is heavily reduced for cmode for enemies so if you weren't getting many drops that would be the reason why.
  13. Edit: I'll take a look at the source tomorrow, quite tired right now.
  14. Update: July 7th (once Larva confirms that it is up) The quests with spawn issues (1c2, 1c7-9) are all fixed. As such, all stages for Challenge Mode are now able to be completed, and do not require a Force (although I would recommend one!). This means that the only issue left to fix will be item drop issues, and that will require a multitude of updates and quite a bit of testing, not just in Challenge Mode. I want to thank everyone for helping test thus far; your input and encouragement has been very helpful. Hopefully I can get the item drops issue fixed soon, which will benefit the whole server, not just challenge mode. More updates and info to come when I have it for you!
  15. Were you taking the correct path? The maps for stage 1 are here. It's kind of confusing at first once you get into Forest 2; once you get to the area with the warps, you have to take the 1st warp labeled on the map, then you'll appear in a small room with a warp in front of and behind you. Take the one behind you and then you should see a switch in front of you. Activate that, and the object blocking team's path to you will be removed, and you will see the warp to the "upper area" behind you, where you can continue on your way to the Dragon.
  16. Thanks, I'll be sure I send Choko the source once it's in a fully usable state to send to you and do a nice writeup on it in terms of the parameters and things you can change. I think some neat things could be done with it on both servers in terms of events or just general changes.
  17. Just sent another update to Choko. Fixed up the Episode 2 PT loading for weapons a bit more, since the changes I did to Episode 1 were working really well from the runs we did last night.
  18. Yes, that was an issue with a revision that I was using to test setting the weapon ranks. I've sent Choko a revised update with a bunch of other changes to the drops to get everything running a lot more smoothly. From the runs we did, drops were functioning a LOT closer to normal.
  19. It's probably an issue with the retry code I used; come to think of it I don't remember putting code in to "reset" destroyed boxes, so the server probably doesn't even know you're destroying ones that you destroyed on a previous run. Will look into it, thank you. Also, I'm working on a decent update to help get the drops working just slightly better, ie things like mechguns and partisans and such dropping where they should, and it should also have the DAR fixed for each enemy to where they drop the correct item, since right now they just draw from a pool of drops and have a DAR of 100. Thanks again for the feedback!
