You're absolutely right. The launcher patches so fast I had a hard time seeing which files it was patching. I thought the ogg files held the sound effects in them. I remember messing around with them years ago to change the footsteps of the RAcast. I'm probably remembering it wrong. Anyway, I had the volume sliders at 1 on both. I moved them all the way up to 10 and it fixed my issue. Thank you for keeping PSO alive!

I changed the settings there. It helped, but by turning everything down. Rappies running is also really loud for some reason. I used the current installer on the front page on a newer computer with windows 10. I'm also using a 7.1 surround sound headset if that matters. I'll try some other things and see what I can come up with. *edit* Fresh install with no modded hud or skins and I get the same thing. I tried a different server (ephinea) and no sound issues there.

I took a break and have recently returned to a new (very nice!) launcher. I'm having an issue with the sound though. Mothverts, doors, meseta used in shops and other erroneous sounds are WAY too loud! I used custom ogg's to help with that previously, but now the launcher overwrites anything I change. I've searched the forums here and haven't found my answer. Is there anything I am missing or can do to fix this?

Wow, really?!? It isn't enough that Ultimate is buffed which makes it frustrating as all hell starting out, but solo is tweaked this badly? I play solo because I don't want to deal with the usual elitists, ninja's and countless other negative people. Couldn't you just reduce the drop rates in solo mode instead?

I know drops are the same between modes. I'm not sure about if it would be easier since they've messed around with ultimate difficulty on this server. I would see if there's anyone you could run with that wouldn't mind helping you farm it. It's tough, I'm a soloer myself. I feel your pain lol.

Since I'm not high enough level to take on the Ult bosses, I've been hunting the easier stuff. It would be really nice to have a complete/official drop table though. Bluefull - Ultimate Hildetorr - Wizard/Resist (confirmed) Dorphon Eclair - Centurion/Power (confirmed)

RAmarl - Purplenum, Bluefull, Whitill and Redria are my favorites. Oran looks good as well. I'd take a look at the http://phantasystaronline.net/droptable.php and decide from there. I really like RAmarl for solo play. S/D/J/Z 20, female only gear and guns!

If you're playing with a controller try shutting off keyboard controls (options-keyboard controls).

Does "Happy Hour" increase the DAR, special drop rate or both?
