  1. Tellusis and agastya are popular, so they're worth more than a pd. The mag cell for tellusis can be found by beating any boss from episode 4 on normal. The mag cell for Agastya can be found on Black paper deal 2 on hard as a random reward. Aside from trading, pds are used to add attributes percentages on weapons in Gallon Shop. On offline pso, their only use is to sell them for 1000 mesetas at the shop, since if you can't dowload quests or have pso+, you can't use them so they're worthless.
  2. Mags are a complicated matter. You cannot have 0 defense without a PPP mag, a mag that you receive as a reward of completing the quest Power Plant Plight on Ultimate. A ''normal'' mag that you start with or find on the ground as a drop will start with 5 defense. For racast, a mag with 5 defense, 165 power and 30 dex is fine enough for a beginner. What mag it ends up as depends on how you feed it, which class and Id, among other things. There are several mag feeding guides on the Internet for the gamecube version or blue burst that are still viable. Some people can make a mag for you (for a price) if you think it's too complicated. Mag cells can be found on certain monsters or in items during events. Most of them, except for the highly coveted or rare ones, are easily exchangeable with players for 1pd or are freely given. Yes, it is possible to craft the shield. You need the DF Shield, De Rol Le Shield, Secret Gear and Flowen's Shield in your inventory after clearing the monsters in Claire's Deal 5 and speaking to the quest giver (Claire). She will ask if you want to trade stuff for other items. From the Depths is in the last list of items. You choose it then trade the 4 items I've specified above. DF Shield is a Christmas event-only item, but some people may have a few copies for sale. De Rol Le Shield is available in Black Paper's Deal 2 on Normal, if you beat the gauntlet and get lucky enough for it to drop in the rewards box at the end. Secret Gears are a drop on Ep1 Gilchics on Hard on 6 different IDs (check the droptable to see which) and the easiest way to find a Flowen's Shield is to farm Nar Lilies in Temple on Very Hard with an Oran ID.
  3. NO. I'll add that when you beat all offline quests, they stay open on that character forever on all difficulties.
  4. I have 24 of them. I'll sell em for a fair price.
  5. Hell yea, I totally forgot about that one. Putting a telepipe on lasers is my favorite thing to do in CCA when I just started a room and people ask for one.
  6. @R-78You forgot In Tower of Dreams in the laser room full of shock traps, get a STA and spam the laser until everyone dies except you. Has to be followed by people saying ''Don't play with Bob random person in TOD, you'll have a bad time'' No idea why. Some that I do or have witnessed: Spam your own shifta/deband or jellen/zalure even though someone else already applied it. Better if there's a force on the team and you're Ramar/Humar. Be sure to only have a single short-ranged weapon for any situation, preferably Vivienne. Bonus points if you play in Tower. Spam Megid on all the bosses, don't let their 1000 EDK stop you. Create a room to pretend to farm a certain item, even though you don't actually have the ID for it and you're actually farming some other garbage. Don't announce you're at full PB and just use twins in the middle of the combo and pray for the best. Ask to join a room, only to never actually come. Aside from all the things already mentioned that I may or may not have done, use the Striker Unit mag and block someone else's view by being in front of them. Create a bogus event for your team, only to win all the prizes. (My proudest one) I'm surprised how much of the things in this thread I actually did, especially in R-78's list >.>
  7. You only need to grind the weapon you're equipping. Very important to note that the weapon you're making will have the attributes and hit of the weapon equipped. So if your Master Raven has 20 native and your Last Swan has 30 machine and you equip the last swan, your dual bird will have 30 machine. Make sure also that the character you fuse the weapons with is a hunter or ranger and has at least 209 ATA (including slot units and MAGs).
  8. If you have Unsealed Door still unlocked, you can also change enemy parts there by talking to Montague after clearing Doc's Secret Plan. If both Dr Osto's research and Unsealed Door are greyed out, you'll have to beat all the offline quests in Episode 1 to unlock them again or you can try with another character. Every time you beat an offline quest in Episode 1, it becomes unavailable. You can't beat the same offline quest again until you beat all of them. Also note that you actually don't need to beat Dr Osto's Research or Unsealed Door to change the enemy parts, so next time just /lobby after changing them.
  9. K. PM me when you're available. I'll log in as fast as I can.
  10. Ok, pm me when you can trade.
  11. Yeah, pm me if you're interested.
  12. Hey, Fayn. I have them, PM me when you're available for trade.
  13. Bomb-chu has 250ATA, 165 more than the second place. As the person above me said, it has no need for Hit.
  14. Saw it in action some time ago, can confirm it's extremely lame and underwhelming.
  15. Sure, PM me when you're online.
  16. Removed a lot of useless things and added some interesting ones.
  17. I'll assume we're talking about Dark Meteor and Dark Flow as you and I may agree that Dark Bridge and Psycho Bridge have niche uses for hit. First, I'll start with Episode 4. Here are the EVPs of monsters in Ruins compared to the ones in Desert and Dorphons: (I got those stats from the monster reader, so I'll assume they're correct.) As you can see, except for Del Rappy, which can be removed by hitting it once at a relatively medium range, they're pretty similar. So if they're fine in Ep1, I don't know why they wouldn't be in Ep4. Not only that, but since there are no machines in Episode 4, you could theoretically be able to hit all the monsters at near twice the damage of a blank Dark Weapon without the need to switch weapons. Now for Ep2. I'm aware that enemies in that episode have high EVP, but does that make a Dark Weapon with 3 attributes ''no good''? Not necessarily. Sure, you're not going to be able to spam Heavy-Heavy-Heavy (it seems to be the mindset of some that if you can't do that or 3xSpecial and hit everything, your weapon is trash. I never particularly agreed with this philosophy), but the DM still has huge range and its special still attacks anything in the laser's vertical range while DF still hits for huge damage, with or without its special, even if it misses some of its attacks. Temple has the same attributes with slightly higher EVP than Ep4 and except for Baranz, Spaceship's enemies fall pretty quickly with 2-3 combos of Simple-Simple/Heavy-Heavy, while 4 types of monsters with different attributes can spawn at the same time, so doing bonus damage on 3 out of 4 of them simultaneously is a pretty good deal. The place where it's less than stellar is obviously in CCA and Tower where minibosses are immune to attributes anyway while Gibbons and Ill Gills have huge EVP, but Dark Flow will still do good damage while Dark Meteor will still stay good for crowd control even if you spam Simple Attacks instead of Heavys, especially against Meris. Now am I saying that Dark Weapon without hit is always better than with? Absolutely not. But can one with triple attributes be equally or more useful than one with 2 attributes and some hit in certain circumstances? Yes, I believe so, especially for Ep 4 where monsters' EVP is low enough to do consistent damage and some parts of Ep2 where more than 2 attributes are present at the same time, but again, and I cannot stress this enough: It is to the player's discretion to decide if they want to go the triple attributes' route or 2 attributes with hit. Both have their merits and they should be properly looked at before making a decision. That is my analysis on this subject, but I'd also like to post something @R-78wrote on triple attributes DMs (this is translated from French, so sorry that it's not 100% accurately her words): ''[It's commonly believed that] Iron Faust and Psycho Ravens don't necessarily need hit while they have less ATA than a DM, it's also more sensible to cover three attributes when one doesn't foresee getting a DM set.'' ''I never said that hit was useless on a DM (or nobody would bother adding some, evidently). You can always find cases where ''having hit is more useful'', I could say the same about no hit PRs not being practical against Gibbons and Ill Gill. I'm simply saying that having three attributes on a DM has its use, especially if you want to save [...] 100+ hours of hunt just for an additional attribute.'' ''To sacrifice a bit of precision to inflict almost twice the damage to 1/4 of enemies is a choice that can be made. Of course, it's regrettable to not benefit from the 50x3 that provides Restless Lion, but from another standpoint, you don't necessarily play with the optimism to find several PGFs [in one event]'' This was my TED talk, thank you for reading until now. Special thanks to @JupiterDeMarsto help gathering data, @Solyfor the always useful item reader mod and @R-78for permission to use her thoughts on the matter.
  18. No, there are several maps in the game where mandatory doors require 2 people to open. Blame Sega.
  19. Can you use photon spheres or drops at paganini to upgrade the non-hit %s once its a dark weapon still? For some reason i recall someone warning me you can only add %s to dark weapons through dts. Maybe they were just talking about hit. Yes, you can add attribute points on a dark weapon through Paganini. Also, is hit essential on a dm even if you capped your ata? Is it just always needed on a dm? It is not essential. Some people have 3 attributes Dark Weapons and they work fine. Having some hit make you miss a lot less, though, especially in Episode 2 where the enemy's Evasion Points are pretty high. It is to the player's discretion. Is there a combination of %s that is particularly useful? Native/Dark is useful for Episode 4. A Beast/Dark is good for RT and Max Attack S (ep 1). I don't see the appeal aside from that, though. Machine/Dark (what I use on my DM now) is great for Tower, TTF and Seabed. In my opinion, Dark is too good to pass up on your first Dark Weapon, since most big monsters (Delbiters, Bringers, final bosses, etc) are that attribute. Whichever attribute you take as second is based on what you're using it for and personal preference. Dm has to be transformed from a shot right? Can you transform from rare shots or just orange boxes? You can only use normal white or green (sometimes yellow if it's an Arms with a good special) shots (Shots, Spread, Cannons, Launchers and Arms) to make your Dark Meteor, so yeah, basically orange boxes. You cannot, for example, take a Final Impact to make a Dark Meteor. Make sure your shot is fully grinded and you have the required level and ATA to transform it. As already mentioned, the best way to get a good shot with 50 in 2 attributes (guaranteed) and 50h (not guaranteed) is through the quest The Restless Lion, on a Racaseal NPC. However, the chances of finding one with 50h is low, so I suggest just buying one from somebody. The requirements to combine for Dark Meteor are written here: https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/wiki/item/&id=009E00. You also need 200 ATA on your Ranger, including Slots and Mag, but not Inherited Armor and Shield bonuses.
