I've tried that before and still have the government quest issue. I think this is tagged as something bugged on Larva's list, but not totally sure. I do know that block cycling isn't a correct fix for everyone. Certainly worth trying though just in case it works for some.

yea still seems to be an issue for me. Even tried a new character recently and it still failed. I know some mentioned success by going to event quests first, then coming back to it (almost like a weird reset). I still havent found a correct way to get it working though. If i find a certain quest that works, ill post. Others also mentioned going to different blocks of the ship. However, i only see one block (01) and one ship (ultima). Do others get different results?

whats the benefit of running ep4? change of scenery or more?

So i dunno about you guys but when i group up with people they either want to just run through levels or do Towards the Future. TTF is good, but what about others? Someone told my group to run Wrath of the Forest once and it was awesome; way more mob spawns in a shorter amount of time = more xp. Plus, it was nice to change up the landscape a little. Anyone like certain quests other than ttf and why?

Good know. So far ive just put items i dont care a whole about that i have multiple copies of for low level guys on my account.

I am going to make a new character and want to use the /bank command to transfer items. How does it work? Do i just type /bank in game then transfer items, then type /bank again to go bake to my regular bank? I also heard there are bugs with the common bank and that you can lose items/glitchy can anyone confirm? I love the idea of the common bank, just wanted to verify.

Good points. Im starting to experience this more since i use an RA and have HUs who are closer to the drops and take them often. I guess i need to set more ground rules before going into battle. I do agree that sometimes having a locked room is important though. One thing that would be cool when a special item or weapon drops if it told whether is was a gune/sword/cane/etc. Right now it just tells everyone that 'X person found a rare weapon.' That way at least each class knows if they should have a stake in said item.

Well it seems unstable, but i will try an event quest to see if it clears and lets me move past the forest quests. Otherwise, ill wait on a word from devs when its working.

Sounds like PSP2 is what im looking for. Does anyone know if thats still around? Are there servers for it? It is kinda old so i figured it might be defunct except for single player maybe.

Lately when i go to the governor to do the 'run this forest/cave/mine/ruin' type quest, his secretary shows the mission, but it keeps saying failed to load. I am doing this in a normal game in normal mode (i know i cant run these quests in story mode). I did some of the story missions for the forrest already in solo mode at a different time so is it because i did this out of order? Or is there something else im missing? I know there have been some server issues lately, but i wanted to confirm if I'm doing something wrong or not. thanks!

Hey guys, Just started up PSOBB a few days ago and love it. However, for on the go gaming, i was going to try either Phantasy Star Portable 1 or 2. Anyone play either? Any tips/thoughts? I really wish Sega took PSOBB or some form of it and made it mobile. Smartphones today could totally handle it and it could have a large community. However, PSOBB on the PC is where its at unless that day should come.

Is there an easy/quick way to check the ID of a game i join? I assumed its based on the creators ID, but i didnt know if there was a fast way to check it.

I suppose your right, but I was mainly sharing my experience. And after it didnt initially work, i started looking through the forums and this bug thread to find my symptoms. Like i mentioned it was a bit of a combination of things so if it was only the main file for me, it may have patched and gone through smoothly. Maybe other wont be as thick headed as I was

Im not sure if this should be under this topic or separate, but i thought it worth mentioning and felt like a bug even thought it isn't technically one. I recently downloaded the game and started playing. I had a few hoops to jump through; some related to 'corrupt files' (probably not corrupt, but my computer thought so), some related to anti-virus, others were me just trying to get my settings right. All in all it was a bit of pain since I downloaded and re-downloaded different versions of the game. This is my point; the correct download for the game client was a bit confusing. I first went to the downloads tab here: http://www.phantasystaronline.net/downloads.php This had what I thought was the main PSObb client and the patch files (2.8) which I extracted and manually put in. Seemed to work one day, then didn't the next. Then I realized the main PSObb client file is listed twice on the downloads page so I tried it both ways - still had some problems. Then I went to the forums on the Ultima Client download thread here: http://www.phantasystaronline.net/downloads.php This seemed to have the best and most current version (3.3) which is currently working. Ultimately I had to dig a little just to get the right file. At the very least the 3.3 file should be on the top of the downloads page me thinks. Might even be worth having some type of easy download button on the homepage. Thoughts?

Hey guys and gals. Im a huge fan of this game and used to play in the DC days (had PSO v2). I recently found out about this server and had to give it a try. I saw some info on server exclusive items and events so I'm looking forward to that. Does anyone know where i can find info on quests? I look in the hunters guild type thing when I first started and don't really remember where to start (saw some server specific quests, but nothing that jumped out as a 'start here' type quest). I remember at least the first quest brings a companion with you through the forest to kind of show you the ropes, but honestly its been a long time. Hope to catch you guys online! community here seems cool
