  1. Gotta be the queen of something, y'know?
  2. Yeah I mean bouncing off what he said, if we can change ID's by paying DT's whenever we want why don't we have full dressing room so I can change my character names at will? It seriously would not be that big of a deal and is easily incorporated into the server..
  3. You should honestly read what your own posts say. Half the shit you're accusing others of saying is just plain made up and the other half doesn't even pertain to the actual problem. But go ahead and be a complete cock about it. Please, feel free. It only makes you seem more intelligent when you insult people because you don't agree with them.
  4. I think you take the whole "taking things away" part of the sentence too literally. Nerfing things doesn't "remove things from the game" as you seem to think they do, although in this scenario we would be removing charge special as an option but then replacing your yasminkovs with an equally useful special. I didn't know we judged weapons just based on their ATP values. I didn't know weapons some times have ATA increases and LCK increases or some times MST decreases or whatever, you know? Or how about special attributes like range? Does all of that not matter? Or does the 20 ATP each gun has only matter here? Ignorant to think that. You can get a Yasminkov 9000M for free. I know I didn't say you can get a charge one for free, but you can get a normal Yas9km for free. Go into BPD you can get one for free doing the Dorphon route on ultimatye (or is it Zu route? I can't remember). You pay 10 DT's for special, if you're on RAmarl you pay 20 DT's for 30 hit and you're basically good because on RAmarl (which is probably the most popular RA class next to RAcast) you dont even need more than 30 hit on anything. So you've just made the best mechguns in the game for Rangers for 30 DT's. Lets look at Type ME/Mechgun: TMEME requires you to pay a minimum of 15 DT's just to get the damn thing. I mean, you could get it yourself, but that's a lot of effort and the minimum amount people are requiring you to pay for them is 15 DT's, some times more. Let's say 15 DT's just to get the damn things, that's 10 for a special, so we've already hit that 25 DT mark. THEN, if you're on a Hunter, lets just say to make this viable we need the even 50 hit, Well, On DT list, it says that 20 DT's = 25 hit, so that's 40 DT's for 50 hit, so we are now up to 65 DT's for just a 50 hit TMEME. Oh I'm sorry, that's a whole 35 DT's more than a Yasminkov and the price only goes up if you want more than 50 hit. No matter what the scenario is, the price of TMEME is always going to be more than Yas9km. Fact. Lol~ There's nothing wrong with wanting things to be all on the same level~. Clearly you don't seem to like the idea of everybody having good stuff~ The discussion is purely based on mechguns for now but who's to say we dont all move onto another topic about armor~? What about shields~? What about mags~? You're taking this like this is the only thing that needs balancing~. I am officially bored with this.
  5. ugh, again with the PB chain crap. This argument gets really old fast considering that the majority of the games in Ultima are 1-2 player games (especially those two player games where one person is dual logging) so I'm pretty sure 4-way PB chains aren't even a factor. Yeah, I can kill a Hildelt with my left pinky toe with a 4-way PB buff active but games all games do not have a constant 4-way PB buff active on them at all times. And to even use this as an example is dumb anyways because 4-way PB's are created for the sole purpose of making every single character as strong as humanely possible. We are arguing for the sake of the games where we have say 1-2 people in them with charge yasminkovs that do 6k+ damage in a combo because reasons. And that's with like 30 s/d which is more than reasonable given the amount of FO dual logs people have here. So lets take away the crappy argument of PB chaining and then ask a question: Are vanilla items OP in general? Answer: Only some are. Heaven Striker's pretty powerful but I wouldn't say it's "OP". BKB and Double Cannon and Guld Milla and MM are very powerful weapons from vanilla but really offer not really much else from anything else in the long run. Vanilla weapons really aren't OP at all tbh. Using a 4-way PB chain makes anything OP. You can't even argue that. Back to original argument: Yasminkov 9000M with charge is stupid. Like this community obviously likes game balance because with the latest patch that was released with the Easter Update, things were balanced out and changed. So it's very clear that the overall community of Ultima acually does enjoy balancing. But the issue is, with all communities that like game balancing, we're a two sided community. The community only likes game balancing as long as it doesn't nerf anything or take anything away from us. I.e, not actual game balance, but just power inflation or adjusting. People love a balance patch when it gives their favorite thing more power but when you start to take it away people fly off the handle. Well, sorry Ultima community, but game balancing involves taking things away to help bring everything else up to a reasonable power level. The only 2 other mechguns that come close to the power of Yas9km with charge is Type ME/Mechguns with charge (for the hunters that aren't male) and PsychoRavens (yes Psycho Ravens are technically more powerful ATP wise than Yas9km but Yas9km has things with it that just make it slightly better than PR's). And guess what, PR's are an event item by means of combining an event item with a non event item, Type ME/Mechguns are expensive as fuck and require a lot of DT committment to get up to a power level that comes close to that of Yas9km. Yas9km you can get a blank one, add some hit to it and charge special for less than adding hit to a PR and then you have the best mechguns in the entire game hands down no questions asked. Im sorry, but somebody had to real talk here and tell everyone that balancing involves nerfs. Not all nerfs or adjustments that are "negative" in nature are actually negative or bad for the game.
  6. when does the submission end date begin so you can start to judge the winners?
  7. Start: It's the first day of the #FuckMud2017 campaign. All of the little people have gathered to protest against their biggest fear, Mudkipzjm, in an effort to get him deported from Ultima America. Middle: The campaign is going rough, the little people have all but given up on the campaign to get Mudkipzjm deported from Ultima America and the tensions between teams as well as toxic players on the forums are rising. Who will stop this madness in Ultima America and save Mudkipzjm from his [ultima]te doom? End: The campaign has ended. The little people have either been scattered or banned permanently off the server and forums. Who banned them? Soly and Kajex. @griffeni got a haircut, @mudkipzjm got elected to #DontFuckMud2018 president and founder, @Auli'i got PMed a bunch of bull shit by @SelahIsASpot to marry her, and @Cyane wrote an actual manga series that wasn't as awful as this one. Also, Virec made an apology thread. Oh wait... Theme: #SaveMudFrom#FuckMud2017 I think the community will really band together under this idea.
  8. Or when the DF spammer complains that the FO didn't heal them when they needed it despite them literally telling them not to because they were DF spamming. To the medical center with you clowns!
  9. When DF spammers complain that all people use is DM in every situation.
  10. If people are going to leave the server entirely over one single change then they weren't committed in the first place. Period.
  11. Please do because it actually is a little game breaking. Being able to hit that hard for basically no draw backs whatsoever is a little stupid. Not going to even lie. "Oh but it does have a drawback because it costs meseta"-Every person that tries to argue it's not OP. GM's hand out meseta stacks like welfare checks on this server. There has never been a point on my RAmarl where I didn't have a full 999k meseta stack on me at any time.
  12. I feel like making the damage comparison between a mechgun and a handgun is like comparing apples to oranges. Like, saying "Oh, well, Handgun Guld has X ATP and X ATP is combined with Milla's ATP which is X, so these two = X which is X more than Guld Milla's ATP value. Yeah well Guld Milla hits 9 times in a combo where as handgun Guld and Milla only hit 3 times, so naturally having higher ATP values makes up for hitting 6 less times.... If you equated ATP values to be a combination of the total ATP values of the two items to create it minus like half then you'd have yourself mechguns that are ridiculously strong. Guld Millas are fine the way they are now. Even with just 40 machine and 50 hit my GM can almost 1 combo a Garanz in Ep2 Ult.

    Easter Event 2017

Oh the OP says "TBA" in the "Starts from and ends from" part. Which I assume meant To be Announced. Should be changed if its on lol.

    Easter Event 2017

Fury of the Beast and Kiss of Death sounds incredibly awesome. As does Harmonic Resonance Core. Cant wait to find them. I assume every item can be found on every ID again like last event?
  20. Stop what? Giving an (admittedly extreme example as well, although it might have just been some kind of desync or something outwardly affecting the accuracy) example of my point, as silly as it sounds. I don't know why you were able to give an extreme example of things but I wasn't allowed (and admittedly some pretty unnecessary ones regarding your examples of hell on Episode 2 given how susceptible to it they are, lol) This isn't meant to be some mega super serious thread or anything, I rough drafted this entire thing but I did want to talk about monster stat boosts because regardless of the reason they kind of seem pointless to have in the game.
  21. If you played PSO back in the old days, what made you love it then? Do you still feel the same now, or enjoy it for different reasons? I did play it back in the old days but just not online. For the longest time it was just my Dad, my brother and I playing the game split screen and then after a while my Dad stopped playing and then shortly after my brother stopped as well around level 80 or so. I continued on every single day. I never hit 200 on the old Gamecube. I loved it then because it was my first introduction to a grinding experience. Where I had to work really hard to get what I wanted and all of that hard work was rewarded with great gear. Do I feel the same way now? I mean, the grind is the same but the experience is different. I can't say I love the game the same way as I do now because back then the experience was much different. The graphics were different, the spells were different, the feel of the game was different and lots of aspects about the game, smaller aspects, were different. I don't play Ultima for an old vanilla experience. I play Ultima for the new futuristic experience. I have lots of friends here. If I wanted to play vanilla, I'd go back to the Gamecube... but I don't.. I want to play Ultima because Ultima is what PSO is to me now. So no, the experience is different and I don't enjoy it for the same reasons as before. I probably enjoy it much more now than I ever did before and I feel like the game is overall much more interesting and user friendly. Sincerely, Elizabeth. Also, my age is 21. I started playing PSO in 2003, Blue Burst in 2008.
  22. I mean, I guess maybe I'm not 100% neutral on it by my post, more like maybe, 90% or so. I mean I honestly see it more as a like.. well, not really a donation thing and more as a scenario aspect (I also am looking at this from the viewpoint of low ata hunters specifically too, but some times from a force or a ranger as well). The way that things happen for me is that when I get a new super awesome weapon and then ask myself "Am I going to need to put 80 hit on this?"... if the answer is yes to just get consistent results, then that might be problem? I don't know. I feel like if the people were honestly really concerned about having a hard game experience they'd just ask you to throw up crack mode @Soly and then go play that instead of insisting things be harder for everybody. Also, I said this was a rough draft in the OP, so if there are problems with it grammatically, please don't throw a spear at me over it lol. I also don't think I mentioned SNS glitches (which I meant to but forgot) or the fact that this argument in particular was supposed to be aimed at getting consistent results with special attacks... and some times even normal attacks (I know normal attacks aren't affected by hit values but the EVP buff does make it harder to hit normal attacks with lower ata classes). Oh yeah, Zynetic mentioned specifically that it was more about "it rarely connects" and that's more my point. I don't feel like I should be forced into getting 80 hit on everything (and there are more ways of getting 80 hit on things than donating) that I own just to get consistent and fair results on most enemies. Like, I'm going to give a more outlandish example of this; I was fighting Barba Ray with my RAmarl and I have a 35 hit Hundred Souls on her. When Barba Ray jumped on the ship to make itself vulnerable, with maximum ATA on RAmarl and a 35 hit HS, I used a NSS combo and both of the specials at the end missed. That's Spirit special, by the way. Max ATA, 35 hit, on a boss from the first area, both specials at the end missed. That would happen consistently. It'd be rare that I'd ever get to see a NSS combo hit all three hits. Even a NHS combo, the S at the end would miss. That seems a little screwy if you ask me and I know it isn't my character stats because they're maxed out. It's either the EVP stats of the boss or the hit value of my weapon... or both (and I think I know which one it is personally)... TL;DR (I guess) is that for almost all weapons in my experience, there's a big difference between getting consistent results and getting results at all. To get consistent results, you need a lot of hit, more than I would think necessary... unless I'm just really bad and missing everything on easy targets (which isn't out of the question lol).
  23. So, I've been wanting to address this topic for quite a while now.. this entire post is going to be rough drafted so bare with me if anything sounds disorganized and if anything offends you I apologize. So to start, let me preface this topic with this little statement: I am completely neutral about this entire thing. With that out of the way, we can start; If you didn't know, or don't currently know what I'm talking about regarding monster stats, Ultima has increased ultimate mode monster stats. Basically, they upped the EVP and elemental resistances of monsters. I believe the elemental resistances are specifically for Episode 2 monsters only but the EVP boost to all monsters seems to be for every single Episode. I presume the reasoning behind this change was because of a few factors; one of which being that Ultima was basically just another generic server when it first released and what I assume to be a way to differentiate itself from the pack of other generic PSOBB servers they made monsters significantly harder to hit in multiplayer (not in solo mode -- to my knowledge, the EVP boost only affects multiplayer modes). The other reason (I'm just assuming) might be because with the way that you can get every weapon's hit values up to 80% due to donation, there should be some type of drawback behind being able to "casually" (and I say that word very carefully) obtain 80 hit on any weapon you wanted. I'm on the fence about this change to be honest. On one hand, you have the really hard to hit monsters as it were. Take a look at Episode 2 multiplayer mode for instance. That Episode in particular already had high EVP enemy stats so if you didn't have maximum ATA stats on your characters (or inherently low maximum stats in ATA on specific characters (cough HUcast cough)) you had a hard enough time hitting them as it was. I'm going to use schthack as an example for this, since it's the easiest one to use. in Schthack, there's no additional EVP monster buff, which inherently keeps the same sort of difficulty early on when you don't have max ATA but when you did get max ATA you were kind of rewarded for it and rewarded for having decent hit weapons (something like 40-50 hit stuff would work great). Like for example, on a max ATA RAmarl on Schthack, with a 40 hit Snow Queen, I could always like 80% of the time freeze that Ill Gill. It was a pretty high chance. If I tried that here, at Ultima, with the same 40 hit Snow Queen, I would have a somewhat 10-20%~ chance. Significantly lower chances at hitting that, and that's a special attack that hits the same enemy twice (potentially). This is also compounded by the fact that this EVP buff honestly basically requires you to have 80 hit on every weapon. Like I don't even think that's an arguable point anymore because if 80 hit truly wasn't necessary with max ATA on Episode 2, people would honestly not be wasting their money adding in extra hit past like 50 hit. But its painfully clear that 80 hit is required for pretty much every weapon you have, especially melee ones (regarding Episode 2, at least). But then, playing devils advocate here, getting 80 hit on every weapon is seemingly pretty damn easy to achieve now. So when you have all these people running around with 80 hit weapons how do you make the game more interesting without breaking the game? You increase EVP stats... but this is the only argument I could really think of after a few months of really giving it some thought and it doesn't even really come to a reasonable counter-argument or example of why we even have it here in the first place. Like, yeah, we release some pretty ridiculous weapons over our time period. Excluding Dark weapons, Hundred Souls is pretty crazy. Imagine only really needing 50 hit on every Hundred Souls to always hit things on Episode 2 with a special attack. That sounds really dumb on paper when you think about it I guess, having these crazy super powerful weapons ATP wise that can burn through health bars crazy fast, how do you counter? You make it harder to hit enemies. But again, that's really the only issue I find and it's really only with Episode 2 for the most part. Because when you go into Episode 1 and 4 I don't think you experience the sort of same issue as you do in Episode 2. I think it's painfully clear that Episode 1 and 4 are really easy in comparison to Episode 2. And that would be okay if they didn't add in the EVP boost to Episode 2 because enemies in Episode 2 were already hard to hit without it and definitely without max ATA stats. I feel like the game kind of rewarded you for hitting max stats in Episode 2 by allowing you to somewhat frequently hit enemies with any kind of attack without needing ludicrous amounts of hit on weapons to do so. Now, you hit max stats, and that's like half the issue solved. Now, in addition, you have to add 80 hit to all your weapons and then go into Episode 2 to hit stuff. If you're even missing like 10% hit on anything you've put yourself at a huge disadvantage. I think ultimately my point is this: I don't feel like for whatever reason the EVP boost to monsters was implemented by, it's kind of pigeon holding people into having to get 80 hit on everything. To be honest, I'd like to spend a lot less of my money on 80 hit and leave my weapons at more like 40-50 hit and then only have to worry about getting my stats maxed out. I shouldn't need 80 hit on everything to be able to operate under a reasonable level in Episode 2. I say Episode 2 specifically because it's the only Episode that this argument applies to for the most part. Maybe we could remove the EVP boost on Episode 2 monsters and that way it wont be so difficult on us who don't have 80 hit on everything? Or maybe remove the EVP boost altogether.. because honestly... as far as I can tell, there's no really much of a point in having it anymore...
  24. Chain Sawd (ATP bump) Zanba (ATP bump given how hard it is to find as a drop) Black King Bar Imperial Pick (ATP boost, it's a really cool weapon) Red Handgun (it's a very underrated weapon, it's definitely good now, but a slight ATP bump please) Those are just a few off the top of my head.
