Nothing and Everything
The Black water rises
nothing to hold but surprises,
surprises, that hold nothing
but despair, with no hope of repair.
The water is darkness, to wipe everything out
even the light goes without a shout.
nothing can face this darkness not even the devout,
in the darkness that consumes, there is a way.
only the brightest light can pierce the veil;
if one was to find this beacon of hope.
and to harness it with great faith
then surely the light will prevail.
