  1. Oh well, I may take a look at my laptop, or worst case try and see if a VM helps. Thanks for helping me out.
  2. But then why does the game work on the first load? Something must happen when the game patches that causes the issue.
  3. No luck, getting the same error as before. Tried it using the regular install and using the one with the other launcher.
  4. Okay. Right now I am at work unfortunately, I'll take a look tonight though when I get back.
  5. Still no luck unfortunately. Would you still want me to send the backup then?
  6. Hopefully a bit more detail in the error log will help: Faulting application name: psobb.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Faulting module name: psobb.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00760000 Faulting process id: 0x195c Faulting application start time: 0x01d0e9af807df415 Faulting application path: C:\Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst\psobb.exe Faulting module path: C:\Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst\psobb.exe
  7. I get an error message on the log every time I load a .exe file except for option.exe or online.exe. (exception 0x00000005 or something like that)
  8. I can't download directX 9 on Windows 8 (or 7 for that matter apparently).
  9. It works, and then begins updating. After the update happens, the game refuses to load again.
  10. The launcher opens, but cannot find a specified file.
  11. So I download the 3.3 version and the game loads fine, once the patch is installed the issue crops up. Perhaps there is some issue with 3.4 that affects me somehow.
  12. Just tried disabling my antivirus (Windows Firewall). No luck.
  13. All of the files you mentioned are still in the folder. I have also tried changing the names and instead using the .pat version. To still no avail. I haven't gotten any warnings or notices from the launcher, except for the first time it tried loading (but that was a non-legible error message).
  14. No, what happens is that when I run online.exe it takes me to the menu with the options and server info. After I click 'start game', nothing happens (the actual game never loads). The current resoluion I'm using does seem to be supported by my machine as well.
  15. Hi guys. Trying to run this on my new computer, and the game never loads after the initial patch is updated. I've tried reinstalling (both from the main site and the mega link above), disabling my firewall, running each piece automatically as administrator, running on the smallest resolution setting, windowed mode, fullscreen mode, changing the installation folder, and still can't even see the title screen. I'm running on Windows 8.1, let me know if there's any other information you would need.
