  1. Great to see you guys actually attempting to add major stuff into the server code. Good luck and keep up the good work!
  2. What day did you notice the items missing from the bank? I'm sure, most likely, Larva could just roll back your common bank to the day before your items were lost. I mean, if there really was a ton of stuff just sitting there.
  3. You sure your brother didn't get angry, log onto your account, and destroy your common bank items too? (Like he did your Guld? )
  4. Haha, you're right. I somehow left out the >= 100 check for special mags when I rewrote the code. Oops! Fixing it now... but Larva will have to post the update when it's done.
  5. I think what the other poster is trying to point out is that you lost your gun because your brother decided to be an asshole and discard it. Since it wasn't the fault of the server, they aren't responsible for restoring it.
  6. Now you gotta update again since I just added common bank ;x
  7. clears all your gloom away.

  8. No, but I would beg you to tell me, because the problem actually does irk me in a way. I can't figure out why it happens and I would actually really like to fix it. It kind of depressed me to do other things when there is a core problem like that.
  9. The only common thing I've noticed from people who get ??? items on this server is they attempt to transfer items. I'm not sure if it's before or after a game. I know you'll take care of it for the user, but even with their corrupted data (which I looked at), I can't find out what causes this problem to fix it. Really need people, some time, to come up with a way to generate this bug 100% of the time so that I can fix it in the source code. For that would be a glorious day! I'd just recommend people NOT to transfer, but if you're going to transfer, I'd change server blocks, make a new game, drop the items on one char, pick them up immediately, change server blocks again, create new game, come back with new character and give items. Pretty sure that should avoid the ??? bug on transferring items.
  10. /ignore guildcard# should work for non-gms too
  11. I don't know if Larva's client pack uses the same PsoBB, Online, Option, Vista, Vonlin and Voptio... If it does, you can download unpacked and false positive free versions of the Online, Option, Vonlin and Voptio executables at http://www.pioneer2.net/OptionsExes.zip Just unarchive them into your Ultima PSOBB folder.
  12. Kicking back on a tropical island, sipping margaritas, of course!! Anyway, it's not as easy as locating the programmers and saying "fix this". You have to find a way to reproduce the bug 100% of the time and then "debug" it. The server is a lot of lines of code and there's a lot of procedures which deal with the inventory and the games. IT'S ALMOST LIKE A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK. (Well, not that severe...)
  13. Can you remember the sequence? Like, did it go like this 1) You are in the room 2) Your buddy joins 3) You drop your items 4) Your buddy takes them 5) You leave 6) You come back 7) Pick up items buddy drops 8) Buddy leaves? Or what?
  14. It seems like every time the ??? item problem happens, people are trying to transfer items. I think I'm getting closer to solving this. I'm going to have to try doing some item transfers later and try to replicate this. Pretty much all the last ??? item problem that has happened on this server occurs when people transfer equipment.
  15. Larva should be able to fix that by editing the login server's questitem.txt file. Add 002201 to it!

Sounds like somebody's never played a version of PSO besides Dreamcast versions. Being "shocked" has been around since Gamecube. Also, the capsules you grab in the quest you mention don't neccessarily go in Chronological order. You can pick up Capsule 3 first although it'll say first Capsule. It doesn't mean jack squat, just find all 3 and complete the quest.
  17. The Booma dropping a Rappy Wing is the player's fault and not the server's. He's using the Schthack client which has the enemy MIDS mixed up from what the server has. The Map Files have to be identical between client and server. So, if you see a Booma dropping a Rappy Wing or a Chaos Bringer dropping a Delsaber Left Arm, it's because your client is messed up. You can verify this by starting a multiplayer game and killing the Dragon while outside of a quest. The server should disconnect you, unless Larva disabled the disconnection... then you can't really check at all. However, if the enemies are dropping the wrong items, that's proof enough that your client is mismatched. The Schthack server client is not acceptable.
