I talked to Lemon briefly about this. If I am not mistaken, the DF wave FX is in a container which would have to get updated to apply the mod to the wave FX, I don't think I want to have the launcher managing files like this. This is the reason why I made the textures and models being able to just drop your custom file and the game will read it when needed without needing to modify the whole container. I am not sure if I can do the same with effect.xx (don't remember the extension) but the file is not overwritten by updates anyway so my short term solution would be to make a post in the game modifications sub forum with a nice title and maybe even pinned so people looking for this can find it easily. I am against putting stuff in the launcher just for the sake of being seen because nobody reads anything there anyway, otherwise I wouldn't be able to explain how people mistakenly log into the test server when the option is disabled by default.

This is because by the game's data, they're different enemies. They have different stats, HP, resistances, they may look and act the same but as far as PSO is concerned, they're different entities. Changing the stats of the ep2 enemies to be in like with their ep1 versions or vise-versa would defeat the purpose. Also the EVP of enemies in ep2 is higher than those of ep1, so if anything it balances out a bit. They don't need to remove the Dark Flow entirely. If you compare the stats of DF on the server to those of it logged on PSO World you'll see that Ultima boosts the ATP to 400%. DF was powerful enough when it got combo-unlocked. They either need to remove its combo ability, or reduce ATP back down to normal. (DM would follow suit as well.) But I agree, luckily people are usually chill about not using the special. (Except this one guy I met in-game, Scott7 or something.) The game is supposed to be easy at that high of a level because it's supposed to take you ages to get to that kind of level. But that would involve going off on another rant. Instead impose challenges on yourself because a 5th difficulty is virtually impossible, or at least too much work to get working. Remove internet.

If it was dreamcast only, then it was likely never updated for later versions of the game and the quest would have to be edited to work with blue burst even if we did find a copy of it somewhere. I am curious about the quest though, where is the documentation of its existence you mentioned? Do you remember the name of the quest or any info about it?

This is a fantastic idea, I'll talk to @Soly if getting a launcher setting is feasible. Do you have a copy of this quest? I can take a look at it and see if it's something we can do here. I have never looked at how PC's are used to add hit before, but my quick search leads me to believe it might be something doable. This would have to get larva's approval before we do anything on it though.

Did you by any chance take a screenshot of my 5th PGF as well? I didn't get that one since I was mostly concerned about the bet I just lost. I know you were here since we played a game right after I got that one (and it was our only game together in the year lol). Also, adding that 40 hit R5 I just found in the single POD run I did in a while, out of HH. Edit: also adding my 2nd Prophets of Motav I just found in the single Oran ruins run I did this year (from one of the couple Bringers in Spaceship part of Max S), out of HH again.

Remove Dark Flow. Having the meta-game centered around using one weapon at <10% HP takes away the enjoyment from others.
