I am still looking into it but I definitely think is just that people got accustomed to the (easy) no DAR reduction while the bug was happening. We have adjusted the DAR to better values than it was before when we first implemented it tho.

Everyone’s Vote and Candidate Suggestion is welcome, although there are some rules and things to watch out for. You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you?? Well... I understand that you want a Soul Eater. However, on Christmas event which is one month away, Soul Eater will be a drop from VH dragon (based on last time I believe). It'd be better if you wanted then to hunt it, since Soul Eater from the quest line always is given 0'd. Dropping from the Dragon will result in stats on your Soul Eater, making it stronger or more accurate. As I said, that's part of the common drops, not the rare drops. My bad, the common drops setting doesn't include meseta. The common drop is chosen randomly between meseta, a consumable or a preset item type (those I said above excluding meseta)... these preset item type doesn't change.

@Ana G.5 I did not mean too sound harsh, don't read too much into the tone of typed words. All I mean is that all gear in the game takes effort to hunt. You shouldn't expect to get a red ring in a single happy hour, or a lame d'argent, or a baranz parts or a panzer faust or any other item, event or not. Sometimes things take more than one hh to get. Probability is not a kind mistress. Even when you do 1x the rate in runs, that's about a 63% chance to have at least 1 of the item drop. Nearly every rate I've ever set has been easier than they used to be or easier than average though. I try to set rates where people have a reasonably high chance (>85-90+% chance, which means being able to do several times more than the rate to get that kind of probability) of getting all of the event items if they work for it, and some items are made especially easy so that people can be expected to hunt multiples well, such as chromatic orb is set at a rate where people can easily get several to combine for multiple weapons. But I don't set rates such that you're going to be basically guaranteed to get them in a single hh, as that means being able to do 4.25x-6.5x the rate in that time. For any item in the game, if you hunt for a few happy hours, you are probably going to get it several times; but if you hunt for only a little while and complain that it didn't drop when you killed monsters 1x the rate, then I can't do anything about the fact that probability is a harsh mistress. Like I said, the probability to get at least 1 of a drop when you do 1x the rate is only about 63%. There's a pretty good chance you are going to go over the rate on some hunts, and if you aren't willing to work for your drops then you might get discouraged easily by bad luck. But if you are willing to put in the work you'll likely get 2-3 drops close together. If you simply lower your expectations a bit and keep at it, then your persistence will be rewarded.

I think you need to lower your expectations. Expecting to get the best stuff in the game after only 24 monsters killed is absurd.

You mean, why some monsters do not drop anything? The common drops for monsters have a setting that can be weapon, frame, barrier, unit, meseta or nothing. Some like bosses have nothing... so that's why that's there.

@Fyrewolf5 As a new player who doesn't recognise anything I can't say this for sure, but is it possible the reason that you're able to do that is because you're using a max level character with (presumably) maxed stats and other equipment? (Or did you remove all hit-boosting stuff?)

It sounds more like "I'm gonna make drama and I don't care about you". I know this kind of posts coming from you, so I won't get into it too much. To answer your main concern: Long ago people wanted a harder game because it was "too easy", or something like that, so Larva gave them that. He can probably explain it better since he's the one who did it, but that's what I gather from it, keep in mind he also increased the character max stats. About your neutral "donation" aimed post I didn't put much thought into reading your wall of text but no, the change was not about donations. I don't even know if donations were a thing by the time this change happened (only Larva would be able to answer that, I think). Now some of my own opinion: Lately I have been expressing my desire to nerf things all around, dark weapons, OP new items, character stats could probably go back to normal and monster stats reduced too Why? Because there is not much headroom for changes if we wanted to, I wish I could increase monster HP past 32767 but is not possible atm, same with any other stat... although HP is the most important, at least for bosses. With that said, any bit of drama and I'll lock this down

No, DF is a weapon in the game. Dark Flow. It has a special attack that destroys enemies but to use it you have to always be at very low health, basically one hit kill health pools at all times. Learning how to properly move around the maps and use DF will make you a mechanically and technically skilled player, even if you don't have DF; to be fair, this game is very mechanically and technically complex when you get down to it. Learning how to use DF's special is a very big bonus and will definitely help you out in the long run.
