I have seen my share of pso v2 melee forces, requires some specific equips, a good gameplay and if done well, it can be an excelent addition to the techs (in some cases, maybe even necessary), now on GC, things have evolved, many players did actually made the effort to write guides and stuff on how a melee force should be done and the results are actually quite good. On BB things are taken to the extreme, the equips avaiable help forces alot, so if they were good on gc (regarding melee) then in BB they are even better. Zynetic did point out a few good things. I want to point out that forces die alot in bosses due to non elemental attacks, raising defense may help them receive less damage from normal enemies, Evp raising might be better then dfp, this way there are more chances that you will not receive any damage (however, i believe the armors and shields in bb are enough for this effect), this should be complemented with a heavy understanding of enemies behavior, because honestly you can avoid damage everytime, regarding bosses, i doubt dfp will make a difference, if the boss doesn't 1 hit kill you then resta is going to be used no matter the dfp, if the atack does a fixed damage, then dfp is indeed worthless, falz is a nice example since he doesn't use atp in any of his attacks (yes, deband is a waste of tp) Even if you raise dfp, you will still need to cast resta to survive and even if you don't raise dfp at all, then you will also cast resta DFP raising is almost worthless EVP raising is a bit better, but also nearly worthless since you can avoid using this stat (stat is only usefull when a enemy tries to attack) ATP, always usefull with a weapon Just my 2 cents

  2. I don't think I've ever given reputation on these forums, and if I have, it was definitely positive. I'm not such a negative guy. :v And have you even read my posts? Their nuking power is weak compared to the damage of HUs/RAs, while their nuking will cause damage cancel as the damage they do is muuuch lower. I never said they shouldn't nuke as you are right -- they are very strong; in a solo environment where damage cancel cannot occur. They can nuke multimode fine when on their own, as their damage cannot be cancelled, but it still stands that a HU/RA with supports will always do more damage than a FO. This is why you use melee, you can do much, much more damage on a single enemy, avoiding damage cancel as much as possible while still assissting your party past SDJZRA. Sure, FOnewm does have the strongest RA techniques in the game, but these do not compared to HU/RAs, as they would be weaker than their attacks and cause damage cancel. As a random note, it takes 5DFP~5.56DFP to negate one point of damage from an enemy, while it takes 5 ATP for one point of damage with a normal attack, 3 ATP with a hard attack and 2 ATP with a sacrifical attack (1 ATP with Vjaya Charge, but FOnewm cannot equip this). See'ing how Shifta increases base ATP by 47.7%, FOnewm would have 2,271~2,321 ATP with an Excalibur, and this is not counting any area percents you have applied, which would increase it to 3,196~3,296 on a single enemy. If you hit on this thing, even better, as you're able to use berserk much more often. And Zalure decreases defense by 47.7%, which would allow FOnewm to do even more damage on enemies using his Excalibur, Girasole, Mechguns or Braveman. Sure, he has the second lowest ATP in game, but does this mean he cannot melee? Fuck no. Even a FOnewearl can melee with sphered Viviennes, albeit with less power. Also, for Vol Opt, he takes damage from your ATP, and the tech you uses does not matter, but if that technique can hit screens directly, you will do more damage with it. Gizonde is the best for this as it hits four screens and is extremely fast (can stunlock him with 801) -- I have a guide on this, I'd read it. PS: I've played PSO for approximately a year now.   3. Question of the day = whats up with the -rep for mentioning dizz has a 200 fonewman? Seriously are we third graders? /endrant And some people that play a lot are still bad players. It is a circular logic that we don't need to get into. The point of playing PSO is to have fun right? I play a FOnewarl and I honestly will never equip a weapon on her. Not because she cannot melee at all, but because I decided her role is to be support. I roll with a glide, resta merge, all lvl 30 support techs and Sacred Cloth so i dont get paralyzed vs. lilies. I love it. If someone is rollin with Demons and whatnot, great. You helped your other teammates kill something they were going to kill in like 5 seconds anyway. But I am not going to argue over who is right or has the "best setup." I mean.. I have an excel spreadsheet with all my characters and a plan to max all the important stats including current matusage for example and target mat usage along with current mag and the mag i need for when i ding lvl 200 so it isn't like I have no idea what is going on. I prefer to think of each job as a rolefiller. If you play other Mmos then you know that not all classes are Damage dealers. Some are tank, and some are Support. If you solo a lot then maybe the melee is more useful but in a party I think it is more than acceptable to let the FOs blow stuff up and support and let the RA/HU do the damage

  4. Then he must be playing him wrong or used a bad material plan. Though, I shouldn't have been stressing I had a 198 FOnewm -- level doesn't really mean much in terms of experience. [Was just kind of using it as that I've played that class for a long time -- on 1X EXP, no less.] FOnewm is perfectly acceptable to melee, even before the statistic upgrade (which gave him 100 ATP and 10 ATA more than usual!), as it will always do more damage than his techniques in party play, and significantly more if you use Demon's / Excalibur with good statistics. Even a simple Girasole will do more singular damage on an enemy, as well as 50H+ Sacrifical Mechguns, while a Braveman with Thirteen will do quite abit of damage on groups. (As the 50% ATP increase from Thirteen also applies to Grinders and percents on the weapon, with 30 ATA to boot.) Saying FOnewm cannot melee is saying that a RAmarl can't support, simply because they are inferior compared to something else. Sure, you can't combo kill everything on a FOnewm like you can with a HU/RA, but this doesn't mean he's bad. He might take one or two more combos; it's part of being a FO. You'll do less damage than your counterparts in the HU/RA department, but you'll have much better supports for other people. And really, how is using Demon's not being able to melee? Demon's removes 75% HP from an enemy, and the ranged glitch with slicers makes Fanatic even better (if you set off a second attack while the first has not connected, the first attack will have the ATA of the second attack: SNS is the best combo to use), while you're able to PC a Bringer's Rifle up to 50H. I wouldn't bother arguing to me that a FOnewm cannot melee, as he can. If switching units and mag is too hard for you when you go play in a party, don't bother melee'ing then, just stick to pure support. But do know a FOnewm is much, much more useful in a party if he can melee, even if that melee is only Demon's. And as I have stated before, I have used FOnewm with melee, and I do say he's very useful. You don't even need a hit Excalibur, unless you're anal about NSS combos or so.

Mmm. tengo q dar un dato y decir q lo q suny dice no es 100% corecto ia q cuando olga se gana de esa forma es para formar un ataqe de 100% target " ningun personaje resiste ese ataque" a q me refiero con esto su HP se reduce en ese estado pero aumenta sus tecnicas especial reduciendo el alcanse pero aumentando su potencia en un 100 % ademas su vas con la heven punisher- mille marteaux - heven striker el ataque especial como todos saven es un ataque de luz " asi se conoce ordinaria mente " pero en realidad es un ataque no elemental por tanto es un ataque 100% efectivo en ese estado de olga ... ademas si comparamos los % eso que dice suny io he tenido q matar a olga a Boxeo limpio cuando a estado en ese estado !!! por ende io saque conclusion q en ese estado el escoge los medios por los q le puedas dar daño ... ademas si comparamos eso de one person es por un error de data q sufrio el juego a los multiples cambios de status del server esto provoco un desorden en sus habilidades haciendo haci inmortal a olga flow en modo one person ... por otra parte tambien descubri q en una quest de one person ep aparece un dorpon " eclair o normal " y tambien es inmortal y te mata de one hit sin piedad por otro lado a olga almenos sale que le golpeas 0 pero al dorpon sale MISS .. si comparamos las habilidades de jugadores q por tiempo an jugado en el server y el juego ia tendrian q saver esto pero nunca es tarde para aprender algo nuevo ^^ espero les alla servido de algo saludos

Un dato para magos .. olga cada ves q cambia de forma hace random en su def elemental por lo tanto cuanquier magia le puede golpear mucho!!! exepto soporte y megid OVIAMENTE ESO LO SAVEN !! .. y los niñitos chicos q ponen -rep grax si siguen asi me dan a entender q nunca a matado a olga =) eso me hace mas pro grax por -rep

  7. I say no as well, ppl consider events as a sure way to get the items, that should not be the case, if you didn't get it then to bad, try in the next event. However the item is like any other item, it can be traded, so if you want one simply try and find a player that has it and trade it.
